Using the site
Technology Brief is free. Reading costs nothing and an account costs nothing. There is no paid tier and nothing here asks for a card.
An account is yours alone. Keep your password to yourself — anything done from your account is treated as done by you. Tell us at support@technologybrief.io if you think someone else is in it.
What you may not do
Do not attempt to break, overload, or probe the site. Do not scrape it wholesale, republish our articles as your own, or use automated tools to create accounts. Do not use the guide-request form or the newsletter to send anyone anything abusive.
We can close an account that does any of the above, without notice.
Our content
The articles, guides and skills on this site are written by Technology Brief and belong to us. You are welcome to quote a passage with a link back. You are not welcome to republish whole pieces.
Articles are based on reporting by other publications, which we credit and link. Photographs accompanying articles come from the original reporting and remain the property of their copyright holders. If you hold rights to an image here and want it removed, email support@technologybrief.io and we will take it down.
Accuracy
We work to get things right and we correct mistakes. But this is news coverage, not advice. Nothing here is financial, legal, security or purchasing advice, and technology moves — something accurate on the day it was published may not be accurate when you read it. Decisions you make off the back of an article are yours.
Tools, guides and links
The tools directory points at software made by other companies. We do not control them, we did not build them, and we are not responsible for what they do, what they charge, or what they do with your data once you sign up. Some of those links earn us a commission, which is set out in the affiliate disclosure.
Availability
The site is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be up, always be fast, or always contain any particular thing. We may change or remove any part of it.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Technology Brief is not liable for losses arising from your use of the site, from anything you read here, or from any third-party tool you reach through it.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed. Continuing to use the site means the current version applies to you.
